Lower East Side: A Visual Tour

Last Monday I traveled to NYC’s Lower East Side with The Dialogue.  We played the historic Arlene’s Grocery that night, but got to spend a few hours before hand exploring the town.  While Stan & Justin did their thing in some music stores, Drew4U, Brian, and I roamed the city streets.  We were invited to drink rum as extras for a tv taping, stopped by the movie set of a Harrison Ford film, and made friends (and enemies) with many of the LES’s finest homeless.  

The neighborhood is lined with creative art and graffiti which helps tell the story of this legendary community.

The LES had a surprisingly warm neighborhood vibe.  There seemed to be a lot on every block reserved for the public community, most of which were “green” havens.  Lots of parks and playgrounds too.  Here’s some pics from one of the better spots we strolled through:
